Sound familiar
What people tell us at the first visit
- The island is where everyone stands, and nobody can get to the fridge
- Upper cabinets nobody can reach, and nowhere to put the trays
- One overhead light and a dark corner where the prep happens
- A 1990s refresh on top of a 1920s layout
What is included
The scope we design and build
- Layout and workflow, drawn to scale with elevations
- Cabinetry: semi-custom or built in a local shop
- Counters, backsplash and tile chosen on a finish board
- Lighting plan: task, ceiling and under-cabinet
- Electrical, plumbing and venting moved where the plan needs them
- Permits drawn up and filed by us
Price
What moves the number
You get a fixed price in writing at the end of the design phase, before demolition. These are the choices that move it most:
- Moving plumbing or a wall, or keeping the footprint
- Cabinet line: semi-custom or shop-built
- Counter material and the number of seams
- Whether the floor runs under the cabinets or stops at them
Questions
Asked often
How long is a kitchen without a kitchen?
Your written schedule says so before we start. We set up a temporary kitchen corner with a sink and fridge where the house allows it.
Can we keep our appliances?
Often, yes. We measure them in the design phase so the cabinets are built around them.
Do we have to move out?
Not for a kitchen alone in most houses. We seal the work area and clean every day.
